We are a family of 5 and we have been in love with the Bengal breed for over 10 years. We count ourselves as very fortunate to finally be able to own our own cats. We have spent hours researching the breed and book marking our favourite Bengal web sites. We knew that one day we would own and show our own cats and so we kept a close eye on the cats who were winning shows and the breeders we really admired. We have filled notebooks on ideas and plans for when our cats finally arrived. Although we have wanted to own and show these cats for a long time, we decided that we should wait until we were in an ideal position in our lives to provide the best we could for our cats. Finally we have been lucky enough to find that everything has fallen into place and that we are able to begin our dream.
Originally we obviously fell in love with the brown spotted Bengal, but the minute I laid my eyes on my first silver cat then I knew I had found the colour for me. We found our first two silver girls and fell in love with them instantly. My husband fell in love with a snow boy and he soon joined us. Much to my shame I had thought that the snow would be boring next too my silver girls. I was so wrong; the snow is just as amazing in real life as a brown or silver Bengal. This was the beginning of our extended cat family.
While we were doing our research on the Bengal we came across the Savannah and decided to find out all we could about these cats as well. Their looks and descriptions of their personalities intrigued us just as much as the Bengal had when we first read about them. We seriously never thought that the chance to own a Savannah would present itself but we are very lucky to be amongst the first people in the UK to own these gorgeous cats. They are so friendly and playful and fit in perfectly with our life. Our plan to just show a few Bengals to begin with leading to us hopefully developing our own lines in the future has developed into a passion to strive for the very best cats in looks and temperament within both the Bengal and Savannah breeds.
Our whole life has changed to accommodate our cats and we love it, we spend hours researching all we can about them still, we are moving house so that they can have more space. Our cats are a huge part of our family and are treated first and foremost as cherished pets. We care a great deal about their health and happiness and with three children, two dogs and two adults who love to play with them they are never lonely.
We have met many new friends through our love of these cats and we feel honoured to be helped and supported by those more experienced than us.
